Land Rover confirmed rumors of an upcoming sedan. The Road Rover will soon join the line-up.
The name of the upcoming sedan comes from the 1951 Land Rover concept model. The new model will be based on the latest Jaguar XJ, sharing the chassis and interior parts with it.
It will look very similar to the SUVs offered today by Land Rover. One of the graphic designers prepared a visualization of the model, redesigning Land Rover Velar. We have to admit that the result is astonishing and, if this looks like the production unit, it promises to be a great looking competitor for the Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series.
The Road Rover will stand out in the premium sedan segment with its range of engines. As the only one, it will be available in a fully electric configuration using Jaguar I-Pace technology. There will be two electric motors that will be transmitted power to all wheels. The range per charge is expected to be up to 300 miles (482 km).
The car is expected to make its debut at the end of 2019.
