In one of the episodes of the third season of The Grand Tour we will have the opportunity to see the challenge of buying 3 used cars in China.
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May visited China to open their local version of DriveTribe. After a short event, the Grand Tour presenters were spotted shooting the video using three used big saloons.
Hammond was behind the wheel of the old Cadillac STS, Clarkson drove the BMW 7 E38 Series, and May chose the Mercedes W140.
All the cars for the test had been transported to China earlier. The pictures show that they travel on German license plates, which were later changed to temporary local license plates from Chongqing city officials.
The main part of the material was recorded in Chongqing, which is considered as Chinese Detroit. In the video we will probably see the incredible growth of the Chinese economy with the focus on the Chinese automotive industry.
One of the cars that will appear in The Grand Tour is the Chinese Hongqi L5, Jeremy Clarkson noted in interviews that he is looking forward to a ride this car.
The premiere of the new season of The Grand Tour will take place at the end of this year. It will probably be until the end of November. Again we will see 12-13 episodes.
