Fifth Gear is back – new series starts on 6th September

The British show, after several years of absence, returns with old presenters and a new season.

Fifth Gear is a British car show created after the end of broadcasting the original Top Gear in 2001. A group of friends moved from the BBC to the competitor and together they created their own car programme with a similar name. The show was broadcast by Channel 5 for 10 years. Then it was purchased by Discovery Channel, ITV4 and History Channel and its broadcasting was finally ended in 2016.

Now Fifth Gear is back and will be broadcast on quest TV. The format of the programme will remain unchanged, and in the new season we will see again Tiff Needell, Vicki Butler-Henderson, Jonny Smith and Jason Plato. There will also be new faces, including the former F1 driver Karun Chandhok.

The new season will have its premiere on September 6th. At the moment, there is no information about the possibility of watching the programme outside the UK.
