In the top version we will get 280 hp and 420 Nm, which will allow you to sprint up to 62 mph in less than 6 seconds.
Ford finally decided to officially unveil the new Focus ST. We had the opportunity to see the car on countless spy photos, including even without a gram of camouflage already in October last year. Now he is with us and plans to fight for customers looking for a sports hatchback.
Focus ST will be available in two engine variants. The first one will be a petrol, 2.3-litre EcoBoost unit. This is the engine known from the previous generation, but has now been rebuilt and reinforced, generating 280 hp and 420 Nm of maximum torque. It is equipped with an anti-label system that was originally designed for the Ford GT.
The second one is a 2-litre EcoBlue diesel generating 190 hp and 400 Nm. Both engines can be combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed automatic.
For the first time ever, the front-wheel drive Focus ST is available with an electronically controlled, slip-reduced differential.
There was also some technology directly from Mustang. On board you’ll find start control, a rev-match function that automatically switches between gears during a gear shift and active suspension for Continuously Controlled Damping.
