The first electric saloon from Porsche promises to be a truly sporty car.
Slowly you can start counting down the time until the premiere of the first electric Porsche. Taycan is now ready, and the German producer is preparing for a big event. Orders for cars have already started in the first countries.
Porsche Taycan will be powered by two electric motors with a total power output of approx. 600 hp. According to the official announcement, it is to enable acceleration from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, and the maximum speed will be 135 mph (250 km/h) due to the built-in speed limit.

With this performance, Porsche can easily fight the fastest saloons on the market today. Similar times from 0 do 62 mph (100 km/h) are possible with the BMW M5, the Mercedes-AMG E63 and the Alfa Romeo Guilia Quadrifoglio.
At the moment, it’s hard to compare the new Porsche to the Tesla Model S, as it’s a real beast when it comes to time from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) and accelerates in just 2.5 seconds. It is possible that the German manufacturer will show faster varieties in the future to satisfy their customers, especially after they bought shares in Rimac Automotive.
