The photos precisely show the new generation and also confirm the rumours about the electric version of e208.
Completely refreshed Peugeot models are coming. After the warm welcome of the new 508, it’s time for the next ones and for the first fire goes a whole new 208. So far there has been a silence, which has just been interrupted by the leak of several official promotional photos in poor quality.
The Peugeot 208 draws very much stylistically from the larger model. At the front you will find similar lights and daytime running lamps pulled out vertically through the bumper. At the back we also have three lights on one side and are also connected by a black blende.
The interior will be very close to the current one, but all the lines have been sharpened and the embossing is now more visible. Behind the wheel there will be a display instead of traditional clocks.
Under the hood of the new 208 there will be 3- and 4-cylinder engines. There are rumours about hybrid versions, but so far without details. There will certainly be a top version of GTi, which will again be available with a 200-horsepower, 4-cylinder engine.
It is certain that the electric version marked as Peugeot e208 will debut. The engine will be the same in the upcoming eCorsa and it will probably be a setup from the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense. There works a 100 kilowatt (136 hp) electric unit, which in combination with a 50 kWh battery allows you to drive up to 300 kilometers.
The premiere of the new generation of Peugeot 208 will take place on 5 March at the Geneva Motor Show.
