Audi is preparing to attack the market of small urban cars.
Do you remember the Audi A2? Unfortunately, so do I. I still try to forget that this model has ever been made. Audi now wants to remind everyone once again about this car, preparing a direct successor.
The car is supposed to be something like the BMW i3. The concept version that was just presented at the Shanghai Auto Show is powered by a 170 hp electric motor and the battery has a capacity of 65 kWh. Range and performance data have not been disclosed.
AI:ME draws its design from last year’s Aicon concept. However, it is much smaller. It is 4.2 meters (14.1 feet) long, 1.9 meters (6.2 feet) wide, 1.52 meters (5 feet) high and has a wheelbase of 2.77 meters (9 feet).
The model was designed for modern mobility in big cities. On board you will find a autonomous driving system level 4, which means that the car is able to move completely independently, but there may be a need for interference from the driver.
